An indoor wave beach, a sea of clouds, and snow play — a Tomamu family stay in all-suite rooms of 100 m² or more.
About 90 min from New Chitose Airport by JR limited express, then about 10 min from Tomamu Station by free shuttle bus. The two buffet restaurants offer complimentary baby food, and children 6 and under can stay free when sharing existing beds, up to the room's stated capacity. Every room has a jetted bath with a view and a sauna. Just note that the pool and other facilities close for maintenance periods in November and April.
- "Mina-Mina Beach," one of Japan's largest indoor wave pools, is free for hotel guests. It has a 30 m × 80 m wave pool and a kids' pool just 30 cm deep, and the facility is kept at a tropical 30°C year-round.
- All rooms are suites of 100 m² or more with a jetted view bath and private sauna — parents can enjoy a soak in the room even after the kids fall asleep.
- In summer, the Unkai (sea of clouds) Terrace (free gondola for guests) and a farm area with horseback riding; in winter, a snow-play park right at the ski slopes and the "Ice Village," a town made of ice.

The resort pass is valid from before check-in until after check-out, so you can make full use of the amusement park and indoor pool even on travel days. [Hokkaido] Jozankei View Hotel
One of Hokkaido's largest indoor water parks and a natural onsen under the same roof — a weekend resort about 50 min by car from Sapporo.
Alongside a wave pool and a 50 m splash river, there's a 15 cm-deep toddler zone called "Paru Paru," making it easy to bring babies and toddlers. Two communal baths use natural hot-spring water — one in the main building and one on the 16th floor of the annex — and both have open-air sections. A shuttle bus runs from JR Sapporo Station (reservation required). The pool gets crowded on weekends, holidays, and in the evenings.

The zipline requires a height of 120 cm or more.

[Aomori] Aomoriya by Hoshino Resorts
Wrapped in the energy of Aomori's Nebuta festival and the clip-clop of horse-drawn carriages 365 days a year — a theme-park inn where three generations find happiness in onsen and folk performing arts.
About a 15-min walk from Misawa Station, with free shuttle buses from the station and Misawa Airport. The pond-side open-air bath "Ukiyu" receives water directly from the hot-spring source, children 6 and under can stay free when sharing existing beds, and cribs and baby baths are available to borrow. The signature evening show starts late at 21:00, so families with preschoolers should look for the additional 16:30 performances offered during summer vacation and other peak periods.

[Aomori] Oirase Keiryu Hotel by Hoshino Resorts

[Iwate] Yunomori Hotel Shidotaira
A water slide more than 90 m long and 20 different baths to hop between. A certified baby-friendly inn at Hanamaki's Shidotaira Onsen.
Certified "Welcome Baby" by the Miki House Child-Raising Research Institute, it offers guest rooms stocked with Bumbo seats and formula-prep kettles, plus "Asobi no Mori," an indoor play area supervised by the Hanamaki Toy Museum. Dinner and breakfast are both buffet-style. About 13 min from the Hanamaki-Minami IC on the Tohoku Expressway. The outdoor slide is a summer treat.

From Tadanoumi Port, about a 3-min walk from JR Tadanoumi Station, it's a roughly 15-min ferry ride. No private cars run on the island, and a free shuttle bus connects the pier to the main building. The indoor pool gained a kids shallow zone in its April 2026 renovation and is free for guests. In summer, an outdoor kids splash area with two water slides opens too. The kids park costs ¥550 for 2 hours, and the separate "Shosenkyu" natural hot-spring building rounds things out.
